Assignment 1.1

Narrative Concept & Story Pitch

🎥 Video Outline

  • What is a Narrative Concept?

    • Short “elevator pitch” for your game idea.
    • Explains world, player role, conflict, and tone.
  • Core Elements to Include:

    • Premise — one sentence that hooks the audience.
    • Player Role — who the player is and what they do.
    • Conflict/Goal — what drives the story forward.
    • Tone/Genre — sci-fi, fantasy, puzzle, survival, etc.
  • Scope Reminder:

    • This is a vertical slice, not a full game.
    • Keep it simple, small, and achievable.
  • Pitching Tips:

    • Under 2 minutes when spoken.
    • Start with the hook.
    • Be concise, avoid overloading with detail.
    • End with why it’s unique.
